Dust in tank

Hi just went to the lfs to get some saltwater for a new tank setup. I had to get 60 gallons, so I asked the owner at the lfs if I could borrow some buckets to fill the tank. He said sure then proceded to fill dirty dusty buckets with saltwater. I didnt think the owner would be that stupid to give me buckets with crap in it. So i didnt even pay attention. Now that I filled my tank with it its really cloudy and my skimmer has been pulling all kinds of dust out for the past three days. I added some filter media in one of the bubble traps on my sump the other day too to help out. There is nothing in the tank now other than dusty saltwater. Is there anything else i can do to clear it up and get rid of the cloud. Thanks

Oh yeah I put a filter sock on too, I forgot about that. It just seems like it's taking forever to get all this crap out of the tank.

Is your flowbox at the top? Maybe take the top skim off with a cup?

Yeah I have a coast to coast overflow on my tank so there is no film just tons of dust particles in the water. I have a 46 gallon bow front running about 6 to 7 hundred gph through the return line. It seems like the dust is staying lower in the tank and not rising to the surface. I used a siphon on the bottom of the tank to get larger pieces of crap out.

Yeah I know. I'm ****ed I cleaned both my tank and sump the night before, and had it looking spotless only to dump dirty water in the next day.
