The white ball looks like a sponge, a harmless filter feeder.
I'm 99% sure I've had stars eat my zoas. Some people report no problems at all and other say they can be a nuisance.

1. sponge, harmless filter feeder
2. some sort of harmless worm 3. asterina star, do some research on them, some consider them a nuisance while others do not.
