Question about black tang
Can get a killer deal on a small black tang was thinking about adding it to my 400 gallon system with a 6 inch yellow and 6 inch purple that has been together for 2 years with no issue I have added similar size or bigger tangs in the pat with minimal issues .. So would adding a small one of the same genus that will be half their size be a disaster? Black tang is close to 3 inches.. I am thinking since its so much smaller and not a threat they will leave it be?

There is never any guarantee when adding tangs to a established tank with tangs. The only 2 pieces advice I can give is. One use a small clear container to house the fish in when you put him in the new tank so the other fish can see him for a while. The second is do a major re aquascape of the tank. Now all the what territory that use to be claimed by the older fish no longer exists and they will not be so territorial...
