How much flow?
How much flow should I have in a 4 foot 75 gallon REEF? Is it 10X or 50X the water capacity?
Currently I have two pumps on my tank.. I am not sure what their capacity is b/c I have had them forever... and my new reef about 6 months old is having a cyano outbreak. I have manually pulled it out / added clean up crew including truchus snails / and want to increase my flow. Neptune 4 Foot 75 gallon / 20 gallon sump / 100 pounds live rock / 75 pounds figi pink live rock / skimmer / 4 65W (2XActinic 2X 10K daylight) power compact lights / refugium in sump / 2 powerheads / 1 coral beauty / 1 red head fairy wrasse / 1 clown fish / 1 fire shrimp / 1 peppermint shrimp / 1 cleaner shrimp / 3 LPS corals / 1 bubble tip coral / Zoe / 1 emerald crab / 2 white starfish / CUC / PH 8.0 / Nitrate 10 / Ammonia 0 / 6 months up and running 3 Foot 46 Gallon Bow Front tank / 50 pounds live rock / Power Compacts 2X 96 Watts / 2 powerheads / valentini puffer / flame angel / dragon wrasse / percula clown / fire shrimp / 15 years up and running |
