Via aqua heaters

I have a 260 gal tank and 75 gal sump. I was looking to get two of the 300 watt via aqua Titanium heaters with the led temp reading. Anyone have any input on this brand?

I'm using one on my 90 gallon, and it works well IMO.

What wattage do you use on the 90

I have one without the led temp reading for a year. So far so good. Never heard of the brand but price and build quality seem good.

Typical disposable heater, run them for a year and replace. I use them for water changes & occasionally qt after they've done a year in my sump on my DT. I will say when these fail they usually stop heating rather than cooking a tank. Trying fluval m's this year, hope they will hold up better than other brands

Via aqua seem to be horribly inaccurate, ime. Make sure to calibrate them with a known good thermometer

I have 2 and do not like them. They appear to forget their setting when the power goes out, which makes them useless for use on a controller. While using them off the controller, 1 of the 2 failed to turn off and heated a tank up into the 90's, even though it was set for high 70's.

Worse heaters I ever bought and would never buy another 1 and do not recommend them.

Low Quality IMO. I can think of half of a dozen that I would use before them... and some are not that much more money. How about a pair of 300w Ehiem Jagrs paired with a simple $50 Ranco Single Stage for double check and super reliability?

Im using a 300 watt on my 90. Originally I planned on using an Eheim, but it was too big for my sump. This one is small and I agree that it's not that accurate, but i also have a glass thermometer to cross reference.

I use a Finnex Titanium heaters, the secondary controller just went out lucky it was reading hot, the alarm went off and drove my wife crazy. So far the heater has worked great; paired with a good controller much better.
