SPIRULINA pills instead of powder

I am wondering if i can use spirulina pills crushed and grounded to a powder to feed baby brine shrimp?

I am wondering if we could use the Spirulina tabs found in GNC / Health Supplement section. Of course they will need to be uncoated, without anything else added (except maybe for vitamins). I think these are much cheaper then dedicated fish labeled food. Has anyone tried it?
