Brine shrimp not hatching

Recently, I started to hatch brine shrimp for my tank. I had been using the San fransico brine shrimp packets and they were hatching fine. When those ran out I started using other eggs that I had for a few weeks and they didn't hatch. Im not sure why they wouldn't be hatching. I keep the eggs in the fridge when im not using them.

I got some from a fellow reefer who had them for a while and they would not hatch. Bought some new and they hatched just fine. Don't know what the issue was, but the new batch took care of it.

Are they decapsulated brine shrimp eggs?

Reason I am asking is mine are freeze dried (keep them in freezer), but I have seen decapsulated that are for direct feeding (will not hatch) and some that are for hatching. So was thinking maybe that was it...

What brand eggs are you using now?
What temp are you keeping the hatcher at? Temp is what made a world of difference for me.
What time frame do you give it before you call it on the hatch?

I dont think they are decapsulated. They came in a tube.

Im using Ocean Star International Osi Brine Shrimp Eggs. I usually keep the temp the same as my tank. (78) They usually hatched within two days. I kept the system running for four days and they still havent hatched.

Im not familiar with those eggs. I've used the sanfrancisco brand and brine shrimp direct. I've had the best luck with the brine shrimp direct decapsulated.

The moisture from fridges and freezers might cause fouling. You also might want to close them tightly to keep moisture out.
