clean ATO container

so a client gave me a clear 5 gallon container to store RO/DI for my ATO. the container use to have chemicals in it for his job. i am washing it out with use of vinegar and RO/DI sitting in the sun for hours. how do you suggest i clean it?

Specifically what type of chemicals did it have in it?

it had in it a base chemical to spray on the wall after the anti-mold spray. The client is in the Fire/water Restore business.

Is it worth taking a chance? I use a 5 gallon bucket..

Do you know what the base chemical is exactly? I wouldn't use a container I didn't know for my tank. Especially with how cheap water drums and buckets are. It might poison your entire tank.

Yes, not worth the risk. As stated, just use a new five gallon bucket with a lid, especially if using kalk/ lime.
