Question Help with new skimmer.

Hey Guys, so I bought my first skimmer (Tunze 9004) and added it to my sump 3 days ago. 3 days on and its still producing massive amounts of foam and chucking micro bubbles into my display tank.
It's my first skimmer, so have I done something wrong? The air pipe is all the way open and I've tried it closed and it still produces the foam. What should I do?

Skimmers can take several days to break in. Until they are broken in, they can produce excessive amounts of foam and micro bubbles. Give it a few more days and if it persists, raise the skimmer up. That said, have you read the instructions and verified if you have it in the correct depth? If it's in too deep of water, it will overflow continually.

A new skimmer should be ran through a hot water and vinegar bath and scrub before putting to use. If not, then sometimes you end up with contaminants/oils from manufacturing in the system, which could cause that as well.
Did you clean it really good, or just assemble and install?

Guilty of assembling and installing. Didn't think to clean it :/ I read the instructions. It's in the correct depth
