Apex Controller Question

I notice on the Apex Jr advertisements its a EB4 so does this mean if I buy just a EB4 to expand my outlets will it have the ability as to the APEX JR Picture to connect a Temp Probe? I like to add a second Temp probe to my apex system and also need to expand my outlets so just wondering if the EB4 has a temp port on it?

Had the same question. This is hopefully on3 of the better ways to add a temp probe and you get more outlets.

No. You need a PM1, 2 or 3 for additional temp probes.

Oh wait Foster&Smith is misleading they show Jr and EB4 as same unit apparently they are not correct?

Saw this on another site calling it EB4 only has 4 expansion slots on this one. So which one is it???

See this is what Foster&Smith advertise its misleading if that's not the right EB4.

The eb4 is the apex junior. It's just a smaller system. The main controller is built into the eb4 as opposed to the apex where it has a base unit. Thats why you need a module such as a pm1 because you can't have 2 eb4's or it will be like have two totally separate apex systems.

The image from Fosters and Smith is wrong and misleading. The Apex Junior builds the temp probe port into a proprietary EB4 that incorporates a scaled down Apex controller into the EB4 package. It'a not the same EB4 that you would use as an expansion module. The EB4 itself only includes the Aquabus ports and no temp probe ports. As mentioned above, you would need to add a PM module to add an additional temp or probe to your system. In your pictures above, the actual EB4 is the top photo from the "other site" and the Apex Junior shown in the bottom image above an EB8.
