Best aquarium in South Carolina myrtle vs Charleston

I'm in SC for vacation and I'm wondering which aquarium to go to. The ripplys aquarium in myrtle beach or the South Carolina aquarium in Charleston.

South Carolina Aquarium for sure! It is more educational, hands on and interactive vs. the Ripley's which is more flashy and tourist-like. Also, the South Carolina Aquarium is also a not for profit organization, so most of the proceeds from your ticket sales go toward conservation vs. the for-profit organization of Ripley's.

I've been to the Ripley's in Myrtle beach several times. It's alright, I don't have much to compare it to. It's pretty small. Expect to be in and out in about 45 minutes. Then you can piddle around at Broadway at the Beach for a while. haha

Odd, I was there in June, and I only saw a few cases of HLLE. I spent a good twenty minutes looking at that tank. Kind of funny that the part that everyone else blows by is a favorite among the actual SW enthusiasts. haha

My wife and kids moved on without because I was looking at the tank too long. The fish looked really really bad when I was there. I'm hoping they got better and not the alternative.

In a rush to Ooo and Ahh over the sharks I imagine. The sharks never really display any interesting behavior in my opinion. Just slowly cruising around with their big pointy teeth.
