Fluorescent light question

I currently have a 120DT with dimensions of 48 X 24 X 24 high. I'm running a 6 bulb TEK fluorescent fixture supported about 4" AWL. I currently have mostly softies but I am working on making the jump into SPS. Is the 6 bulb adequate or would I need to go to 8 bulbs or a fixture that has both MH and fluorescent? I had also been looking at LED's but I'm hearing that while they are adequate, fluorescents and or MH 'outshine' them for growth. My current bulbs are: (1) GE 6500, (1) ATI PURPLE PLUS, (3) ATI blue, (1) ATI actinic. Your thoughts?
