Another ID Please

Found this on my trumpet today. Hopefully nothing bad. The trumpet hasn't been opening all the way but my clown has been rubbing against them and I figured that's why.uploadfromtaptalk1413230307151.jpguploadfromtaptalk1413230307151.jpg

Very common, and 99.9999% harmless asterina star. Detritivore.

Also, do they easily multiply?

id put it back. Ive found a few in my tank with no ill side effects to any of my fish or corals. nice little addition to the CC. as for multiplying, im not to sure on their reproduction rate but in the 3 months since ive seen the first one in my tank, ive counted maybe 2 additional.

They will multiply fairly quickly, but they will also self limit the population depending on food supply.

I don't trust them.

Until somebody can give me a definitive answer as to which ones are good and which ones are bad, I'll treat them all as bad. Also, a tank full of these things is not very attractive IMO. It almost looks like the tank has come down with chicken pox or something. GL.

Hopefully it's not a coral eater because I already put it back in the tank.
