Some inverts eating Majano Anemones?

Except the filefish and probably white vinegar and kalkwasser, other things who can kill them (majano anemones)?

A cigarette lighter? If you can take the rocks out of the tank fairly easy, this is definitely worth a try. Just rinse the scorched mark off when your done. Piece of cake.

Yeah I heard about it too, but I don't really want to kill the lives in the rocks with that method. I'm trying to use pretty much a natural way to get rid of it. That's why I ask if some inverts can eat them...

I know filefish can do it, but someone know if someone else can do the job?

It kind of sounds like you just want to buy a fish or an invertebrate regardless. If I could take a rock out, burn an aiptasia or majano anemone off in 10 seconds or less, I would do it in a heartbeat. Good luck though.

If you burn them off that won't kill the "liveness" of the rock, it will only kill that small area which will later grow back. IMO this is better than introducing an invert to your tank just to kill a few anemones.

Simple answer is no. You will have to do it manually.. Ime they are easier to get rid of then aptasia because they can be scraped off vs just turning to mush and spreading pores. You can get a sharp object under a piece of the foot and flick them off. It's hard any way you slice it so your better off tearing out the rocks and doing as suggested or manually injecting each one of them for the next few months (at least) and hope you can reach them all.

From what I've read Racoon butterfly fish have been found in the wild with them inside their guts but I haven't seen to many other fish other than filefish and copper bands in the industry that will eat them.. Even then it's hit or miss unless you Qt them with nems as a food source to increase your odds.. Aptasia have bergia nudis but I know from experience they don't touch majano nems.
If there was an easy method it would be all over the Internet fwiw. .

Wow, that's unfortunate. I have read mixed reviews on peppermint shrimp eating them, but I can't recommend any invert that will definitely eradicate the anemones. This thread seems to be similar to yours. Sorry I'm not much of a help.

I've successfully injected Majano anemones with a paste of pickling lime and saltwater. Carefully squeeze a small amount of the paste into the mouth of the Majano. The Majano shrivels and is gone. Very effective, some close before I get the paste into the mouth so I have to get them a second time.
