55 gallon tank on a kneewall??
I scored 2 awesome deals from Craigslist today, a 125 FOWLR complete with fish, rock, filter, stand, canopy and lights for $400 and a 110 RR with sump lights, stand and canopy for $200.
![]() ![]() I bought the 110 just for the stand since my current 110 stand is just open 2x4 and wife is getting noisy about aesthetics. Read: ![]() The problem now is that we need to relocate her 55 gallon freshwater tank. I am thinking of putting on the divider/kneewall between kitchen and family room. Currently it holds a 12g nano and a 13g QT there but those will go away. I can't seem to find anything online of anyone who has done this before. Will the knee wall support the 600+ pounds of a 55 gallon tank? Or do I need to open it up and add extra support? The knee wall is 12.5 " wide with 2x4 16" on center and a 2x4 top box. All advice appreciated.

It's getting moved today based on information from some building engineering sites and some basic load testing.
