metal halide heat issue

I have a 29 gallon build and am worried about heat. I have a odessy fixture that i broke the glass where the mh bulb is 250watt and i ha e it over my qt setup now which is a 20 g l9ng.
I turned the light on and watched the thermometer and my tank rose from 80 to 82 in two hours. The light is on legs about 5 inches off the water on the fixture.

Im going to gut the thing and do so electrical modification and replace wire with b8gger gauge and solder it up nicely.

How high should i make the canopy to house this along with four t5ho.

I was thinking two fans on top of the fixture pushing air upward and having the back open and hav8ng the bulb 12 inches. Anyone with experience.

Thoughts?
