DIY Semi-Horizontal ATS
So I decided to build an ATS with what I have lying around. I decided to build one out of a critter cage I had sitting around. It is slanted 45 degrees and tee'd it off my overflow now. I used an LED light I got off ebay with two window screens in front of the light until the screen is mature. Let me know if you have any questions.

End of Week 2
I've increased the flow. Also turned the light length wise to cover more of the screen (the pic in the first post is how I have the light mounted now, it was the other way for week 1). I cleaned the screen with tap water and my finger at the end of week 1 and week 2. Brownish-green now.

End of Week 3
Now we have some dark green going! End of week 3 with now just 1 window screen in front of the light. Cleaned with tap water and my finger again. Surface is so rough that its hard to clean. So put a canvas screen on top of my screen to see if algae will grow through to on top of the canvas so I can clean it with a credit card next week. We'll see what happens over the next week. Trying to figure out if I should increase flow, remove the last screen or increase light hours. I may let it go 2 weeks now.
