Question connecting EB8 to UPS

When connecting a EB8 to UPS can certain outlets be configured for UPS support only? I want to connect other devices but not sustained if power fails. Is this possible or do all 8 outlets drain the UPS for a split second how does this work any suggestions?

You can program some outlets to turn off based on power loss; I think that would satisfy your requirement.
