Quarantine tank = Child tank??
This may seem silly, but I'm just looking for ideas. Right now my 10 gallon QT tank is under my DT. I'm going to move it to my daughters room. I'd like to make it more exciting for her to look at and motivate her to take care of it. I only have PVC pipe in it right now. Is there anything (Like marbles, or a cave) that I can put in there that wouldn't effect it's original purpose, but will make it more interesting to "look at" for her? I want her to be excited about it and learn. Will a ceramic cave or somthing leach crap into the water?

Just use fake tank decorations. Like plastic plants and ships should be fine.

Great idea. I setup a 40g breeder as a permanent Cycled Qt in my daughters room. Make sure it has a GFCI and a strong stand.
