Pulled the trigger! Got myself a Skimmer!
Aquamaxx EM200!
Reviews say it's quiet. Hopefully that's all true, and best part is, if it goes on sale, I'll get the difference in price! |

You should be very happy with it, the reviews online are very good for it.
The Sicce pump is very quiet and dependable. There has been a used one for sale here for a couple of weeks, $250.....great deal. |

I paid 299 for it. Looking forward to getting this tank up and running. Seems like the build has been going on forever.

I was going to get the EM200, but ended up going with a Skimz SM161 at a price I couldn't pass up.

Wash it well with vinegar before you put it into action.

Is this recommended with any new skimmer? When you say "wash" you mean just the surface, not like running the pump in vinegar solution, right?

My Aquamaxx is great, but I was really surprised how long it took to break in. |

Was looking at the skimz sm253, but found a deal on my local forum for the em300 and couldn't pass it up, it's been 3 weeks and it's quiet and running pretty smoothly, pulling some nice gunk out my 130gal, really loved the reviews and YouTube videos on the skimz, but not at all sorry I settled for this one
