I have not kept angels but I believe they are pretty sensitive to copper treatment. May want to check that out.

I personally use TTM to treat for ich on new fish. Good luck.

the only fish that I would treat with copper without any signs if ich is tangs. many fish do not handle copper well.

the only fish i have lost due to copper was an angel (HLLE on a CB). i'd highly recommend TTM. I actually stopped copper completely after that experience.

Copper and angels do not mix well. And treating with ich treatment if he should turn out to have a bacterial infection means you would have to delay treating what he's actually got in order to remove the copper, because the two treatments are not compatible.

why not do tank transfer method for ich if you are not sure.. won't put the fish in that much stress. And you can immediately start medication if you see something wrong

Well I've had him for a week tomorrow and he's doing great. Eating swimming around etc. I'm going to let him be and see if any signs of disease show up and treat accordingly. I'll keep my fingers crossed and hope he's disease free for the QT period. Thanks everyone.
