Help plumbing my Sicce Syncra 4.0

How do I attach PVC to the output? I tried a 1/2" fitting but it's too small. 3/4" is too large.

I'm not entirely sure how I go about taking the output and connecting it to 1" PVC.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty sure it's 3/4". If that doesn't work you could always use the thread to barb fitting that it comes with, attach a short piece of hose and then a barb to whatever.

i have the sicce 5 and it uses 3/4 on both the input and output the only difference is that one is threaded male and the other threaded female.

go to the sicce website and look at the manual for that pump, it should have the size info you need….that is what i did before i went to home depot for the parts…

Will do.

I got a 3/4" to 1" but it's too big. 1/2" to 3/4" was too small. I'll check the Sicce website.

From Sicce USA website, no mention of NPT, GAS or BSP.

They are thread types. NPT is our standard thread. BSP is British thread (probably common in Europe and other countries). GAS ? Maybe same as BSP. I learned about GAS from the downloaded manual for HF models which have two thread types, MPT (same as NPT M means male F means female ie FPT) and GAS. BTW, Jebao DC pumps which are made in China use BSP (not sure whether all of them or not). Sicce is an Italian company.

Your syncra was not designed for pvc fittings. Although they make work, standard pvc fittings taper out to make a tighter fitment in within the threads. If you cross that fine line and over torque your fitting, you will Crack the motor block housing.

Use the fittings that came with the pump, and attach PVC plumbing with a small silicone hose and hose clamps. This would be the way sicce/tunze intended the connection with pvc to be.

I have used a 3/4 male thread/1" slip thread fitting from Loews for a Sicce 5. IME Loews has a larger PVC inventory

That's what I bought but does not fit.

Trying to figure out how to run soft tubing to a pvc adapter without it tilting or bending over.

From the manual ( http://www.f3images.com/IMD/UserManuals/TZ1741.pdf page 5)

Quote:
3/4“ gas thread or NPT thread connectable to PVC fittings
so it can be hard plumbed without a hose.

Simple, bring a supplied barbed fitting to Lowe's or HD, find a 3/4" female NPT fitting and see if the supplied fitting will be screwed in fully with no problem. If not, then your pump probably has gas threads, not NPT. From the manual for your pump, it shows gas threads.
Quote:
threaded pre-chamber (½” Gas mod.0.5–1.5–2.0; ¾” Gas mod. 2.0–2.5–3.0; 1” Gas Mod. 3.5-4.0-5.0);
Honestly, I don't know what a gas thread is but I suspect it's same as BSP. You can contact Sicce and ask about it.

You can heat the pvc tubing to fit if it's close. I prefer to do that for a tighter fit.

I just attached a 3/4" threaded pvc nipple to my new sicce syncra 4, today. Didn't have any problems.
Took off the #3 I had on there.

No idea. I thought so but it's possible something else was in the bin that I grabbed. Who knows. I have a saying, doesn't matter how you get to the dance...it's what you do when you get there that matters.

I always test the part I am going to buy with another to make sure it is the correct size. I am a little OCD and don't trust the people before me to be correct

Strange. I've had three of these running on different systems and hard plumbed them all with a standard threaded fitting from lowes.

Oh, he got the right one now. He might have bought the first one that was misplaced into the bin by someone else beforehand.
