Radion Gen 2

I just bought a used radion Gen 2. I had a Suntek 6 bulb T5. The t5 was not on a timer. I turned them on when I woke up and off when I went to work. I turned them back on when I got home and off when I went to bed.

I set up the Radions to cycle in a similar fashion. Is this bad? Should I run a day cycle vs on for a few hours and off?

Your corals would prefer about 12 hours of daylight, and 12 hours of night. Use the Ecosmartlive to program the Radion to operate on it's own.

The total sunlight they receive in a 24 hour period is about 12 hours. It is just not all at once. I have a break in the light when I am not home.

Also, how/ what is night time light? Is that 20k at 100%?

No, night time light is either blackout or you can set a lunar setting that is normally just the Royal Blue lights at 1% (maybe higher depending on your tank).

I have been running lights off through the night. Is there any advantage to running a blue light through the night?
