Retro Fit Filter Sock Into External Fluval Filter

Hi guys,

After having my system setup for around 5 months I am reall annoyed at the amount of particles floating around my water it really bothers me. I have a Tunze 9004 Skimmer and I also use an external fluval filter with filter floss and carbon.

I have read filter socks are the smallest micron filtration available so i am wondering if ou think its possible to position a sock inside the external filter I would imagine the input champer with the larger sponge.

Or does anyone know of an external filter that has it as I do not understand why its not been done yet it would be genious !!
