Lighting question

Hey guys new to the hobby, been reading through a lot of the stickied posts on this forum about lighting and I think Im slowing getting it. Basically I have a 20g tall (24"long) and I'm looking for proper lighting, and relatively cheap. Now I think I want a T5HO, and I think it should be sufficient for just my 20 but I'd like some inputs!

http://www.jlaquatics.com/product/fl...82-24W%29.html
It's a coralife, 24" long with 2 bulbs.
1- 24 watt 10000k
1- 24 watt actinic blue

I'm hoping I can just get away with the one! Thanks for any feed back

I am new to the hobby as well but I love the light that I just started with. It's a LED that is very reasonably priced with a lot of features. I linked the smallest version that is available on Amazon. If you need the next biggest one, its available for only $30 more on Amazon as well.

Why not snag an LED setup? You dont have to worry about new bulbs. And with certain optics you can get better light deeper.

When you say snag and don't worry about new bulbs you mean try and find a used one? I know there a little pricier new then the t5 setup but I don't know a lot about there par levels as I didn't research them much as their still sort of the "new kid on the block"

The LED setup that I linked is new and I believe could be a bit cheaper or around the same cost as the t5.(I'm not really sure about the conversion rate at the moment between USD and CAD)

Sure. Here it is again. I just joined the forums today so I may have some type of posting restrictions in place.

If that one is too small, you can get the next biggest version for about $30 more.
