Skimmer help

Hi all, I need some help with my protein skimmer. One of my tanks is a 150 gallon FOWLR setup with an Eshopps 200 skimmer. The tank has been set up for 14 months and has a porcupine puffer, clown, bird wrass and yellow tang. The tank also has around 200 lbs of live rock. I feed my fish every day and the skimmer has always pulled out a ton of dark smelly stuff.
On to my problem... I recently added some faux coral made from silicone to the tank to brighten it up a little. I cleaned the coral very well before placing it in the tank. My skimmer is no longer working. I have great bubble production just no foam and nothing climbing the neck of the skimmer. I am thinking it is no longer making foam due to the byproducts of the coral from when they were made. My question is how do I get that stuff out of my tank? I have done tons of water changes and added a carbon reactor. Still not working. This problem has been going on for 6 weeks now and is getting frustrating. Any info or thoughts would be great. Thank you
