Recommendations for a Spirulina/Herbivore Pellet

It looks like my fishes favorite herbivore food is discontinued. HBH Super Soft Spirulina. It's getting harder to find and the last one I got in was already expired.

I thrown in a veggie clip too and have used different folded up pieces of green/red/brown cardboard but none of my fish go for it like they do these pellets.

Anything similar out there that you find your fish love? I do also feed NLS pellets a couple times a day and meaty foods in the evening. I'm not one to skimp on feeding. I don't like flakes though.

There are many spirulina wafer brands there. Hikari maybe the best. I just got one today but my fish refused to touch it. Will try more everyday, hopefully they will eat it. I studied the ingredients and they all had pretty much the same.

Thanks for the input. I've tried a couple different wafers before and it just wasn't very popular with the fish. The clean up crew usually took care of them.

This looks promising. The hbh was a medium size pellet too. But I would soak them a bit first and break up a few of them. All the fish would eat it. Also like that BRS carries that fauna marine and can attach it to an order to save on shipping.

I use Hikari Seaweed Extreme pellets, OSI Spirulina pellets, and Ocean Nutrition Formula Two pellets.

I haven't tried any types of Spirulina pellets, but I do use Cobalt Spirulina flakes and all of my fish eat it.

I can't find an ingredient list for that fauna marine. Could you look to see if there's one on the container?

So I tried that seaweed extreme and everyone is eating it so I'll stick with that for now. Dried Seaweed Meal and Wheat Flour are the first two ingredients. I did find something that had whole kelp and spirulina as the first two ingredients and would be perfect except it was only in these tiny micro pellets.

A little update. I found sheets of cardboard my fish actually like. My LFS got some new stuff in and I figured I'll try it. I haven't had much success with any other sheets yet but I'll always try something new in case they actually like it. Even my filefish is pecking at it

So one more thing to add to their diet.

I'm laughing at the certified organic waters though. I would love to know how or what that really means or entails.

Funny thing is I've tried a couple different types of nori sheets before which is all these are.

I just ran across another pellet that I'm excited about since I already feed NLS marine pellets during the day and all my fish seem to like them. It looks like NLS came out with an AlgaeMax pellet and has a good ingredient profile.

http://www.marinedepot.com/New_Life_...DRPTSW-vi.html

Ingredients: Algae; Chlorella, Ulva Seaweed, Red Seaweed, Kelp, Spirulina, Wakame Seaweed, Whole Antarctic Krill, Whole Fish, Eucheuma cottonii, Spinosum Seaweed, Chondrus crispus, Whole Wheat Flour, Omega-3 Fish Oil, Alfalfa, Astaxanthin, Capsanthin, Zeaxanthin, Vita

Crude Analysis: Crude Protein (min) - 32%
