Help ID this mystery red growth?

Heyo! It's been awhile, like a really really, long time! My picoreef is still up and run uning, tough it's gotten a bit neglected in the hustle and bustle of life. Anywho, this red... Thing... Has been growing and I havent tfoggiest what it is. Any ideas? It's a soft texture, also kind of quishu and flexible. Very bright red Colour. Whatever it is my sexy anemone shrimp sure likes it! So what do you all think?

Yep, that looks like it! Do you have any idea, can it grow if it breaks off of the point where it's attached to the rock? I'm not sure if you can see in the picture, but it's attatched at a very small point where it was originally growing, and that spot really gets beaten up by the current....

yeah, it shouldn't need to necessarily bet attached to anything to grow.

when i get this stuff from my LFS, it just comes in a loose ball. no holdfast or anything attached to it.

sometimes i will use a rubber band or small piece of fishing line to secure it to a rock or frag plug so it doesn't get swept away in the current.
