Visual inspiration from the source!
Looking for ideas on rock work?
Coral selections for natural effect? Just look to the ocean itself! I think that is the most overlooked aspect in this hobby! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwyKrYJiemY https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u5U5Od86K6E Happy Reefing!

Couldn't agree more. Great vids, btw!
I think a lot of people, myself included, look more at other tanks', as opposed to where all of our animals came from, and REALLY putting the 'slice of ocean' stamp on their tanks. To each their own, but I'll be looking at these vids more as I get closer to getting my tank up & running.

Its really damn hard to recreate an ocean scape in your tank.
Let me find a pic... Of my most recent aquascape.

Its hard to tell but the left two rocks are free standing. There is a channel between all of the rocks and none of it is touching the walls. Ill get a better pic, hard too see some of the support rocks.
Hard part is on the reef corals grow up and out then turn to rock and fall. So you have large vertical structures alk oriented in one way and rubble (our big rocks) laying in the sand. Nature is awesome and hard to duplicate
