Why is my sand this color?

My tank is about 7 months old. My sand has always been really white and nice. But now I am getting ugly colors and it's all along the glass. I bought a snail that burrows down to maybe help clean it. What is this? Any clue how to stop it?image.jpg

Looks like cyano to me. That's pretty normal for any sandbed. 7 months old? Wait till you see what it looks like at 7 years!

+1

If it really bugs you just slide an old drivers license or a credit card down the front of the glass to remove it. Piece of cake.

Cyano. I don't think it's ugly! I think it looks like a natural maturing tank! =) It'll go away with time.
