They haven't been released yet, wait a couple weeks and you'll start seeing some reviews come in.

Have they listed a price for an upgrade?

I had the opportunity to be on the Product Test Team for the Quiet Drive. I've had mine since Friday, and couldn't be happier. As soon as the upgrades are available, I'm getting one for my existing MP40. It won't add flow for my current pump, but it will quiet the motor way down. I'm not that concerned with adding flow because mine puts out plenty for my tank. So to answer your question...YEP, it's worth it!

Here is the funny thing. My MP40WES is almost so quiet I can not hear it. So even if there is a 90% decrease in sounds what is 90% of nothing? Almost nothing. So I think the only advantage would be for flow. So to me that makes upgrading almost useless. Now if buying it with the QD from the beginning it makes perfect sense. But to upgrade for the amount of 150.00 that I have heard being thrown around it just doesn't add up.

Jason, for your purposes, you're right, it might not make sense to upgrade if yours is very quiet. Mine is too on most modes, but when it's pulsing or running at a higher speed, mine is louder than I (and more importantly my wife) would like it, so for me upgrading the driver is worth it. I'm hearing $75 for the QD driver, but that isn't coming from Ecotech. It's just what I'm seeing online so take that for what it's worth.

That's obviously the entire product, not just the quiet drive.

Joe,

I understand. Happy wife happy life.

That said wish I would have known two weeks earlier they were going to come out with a new product. I would have not purched the two new ones. One of them is still brand new in the box. Just sucks floating 700.00 that you save for 6 months then right after they tell you about a new one.

They do accept returns if the pumps are still sealed in the box!!! Contact your dealer.
