Can someone please ID these??
I noticed these swarming the glass in my refugium tonight. They weren't there last night when I was looking in there and nothing has been added to the tank since 3/3/15. The only thing that has been done is I cleaned the algae off back glass today and dipped a few corals last night. I hope they aren't the dreaded aefw but they look like they are way smaller. A pin head is probably 7-8x the size of these guys and there hasn't even been an acro in this tank closest thing was a stylo but I lost it about 2 weeks ago due to improper light acclimation. Currently they are only in the refugium and thankfully not in the DT.

Also I have since shut off flow to the refugium to try and isolate till I know more about what I'm dealing with. Many thanks to any and all that can help.

hard to tell from blurry image. But if it's refugium and you said they are swarming and moving then most likely some pods

That eases my mind a little, I'm just used to the typical larger pods you can clearly see which I gave plentyof those. They just popped up over nhigh so it has me on edge. It just dawned on me that the woman who works at my LFS has a microscope and is a marine biologist so to be on the safe side tomorrow I'm going to try and take a sample of these to her for positive ID.

Just got done taking a sample of these to the LFS and after a look under the microscope she said there just live diatoms. Must say defenitely is nice having a marine biologist at your LFS.
