Custom 53 Gallon Rimless Tank and Fish Room Build
Hey guys,
I am going to be using this thread to detail the process of my new tank build as well as asking you guys for comments and help. I currently own a mixed reef, 75 gallon Aqueon, but I am going to be doing this one way differently. I have already purchased a Coast to Coast custom tank, 48''x16''x16'', starphire, rimless, with an external overflow (supper box). I am planning on recessing the external overflow into the wall between 2 studs. Behind the tank is a utility closet where I will be housing all of the equipment. As far as the fish room is concerned all I have decided on thus far is the sump: Royal Exclusive Dreambox 75x49x35. I am extremely excited to use this sump, Royal Exclusive makes the best stuff! Things that are in the process right now are: - making the utility closet a wet room (waterproofing the floor and installing a drain) - Deciding what equipment to use: hopefully you guys can help me with this - Deciding how to plumb my system: I have a few methods but need to finalize them. - Building the stand and light rack: definitely need help with this one. Below is 3d model of the tank room and sump room. Thanks for reading and stay tuned! |

So there is a backorder on the Royal Exclusive Dreambox sump I ordered. I'm rethinking this piece of equipment now.
What are the best custom sumps out there? Has anyone purchased from My Reef Creations? |
