I got a question on refugium mud

Can I put the refugium mud in a container and put it in the sump? Will that work or do I have to just put it in the sump? If container how high and how wide can it be to be effective?

The mud needs exposure to the oxygenated water flowing over it. Don't exceed the recommended depth and you should be fine. A long shallow container without a high wall would work as long as it allows for water to flow freely over the top of the mud (if the wall is too high, it won't get good flow).
