Kessil a160 or a360 on nano?
I think I've decided to go with Kessil on my mixed reef nano.
I don't plan to do any serious SPS. My water will be kept a little dirtier for my filter feeders and I have some NPS. The tank is 24x12x16 and I thought I had decided that 1 a160 would be right, but now I'm not sure. This tank is not a starter tank, it's a centerpiece in the dining room and so it won't be upgraded. I'm looking for a sleek LED that will make my corals happy. Thanks!

I have a a360we over my 35 cube (20x20x20). I have had it since January and absolutely love it! If you do get one, make sure you get the controller to go with it. It makes life 1,000 times easier and you get the full use of the light entirely IMO. For a tank that is 24 inches long, I would go with the 360we also. It will probably be darker in the last 2 inches of your sides, but I think it will have far better coverage than the 160.

I have 3 kessil lights on my 24x24x12, but mine is a species tank with particular requirements. Depending on what you keep, if you really want it to shine (pun intended) you should get 2 160's and the controller and change the color spectrum independently. I can guarantee you you'll be amazed by the colors and shimmer. |

I think I'm going to get 1 kessil a160 and if it doesn't feel like it is enough or covering the spectrum right, I'll get a second one and tune it in a little different. That seems to be what will fit my requirements the best.
