Help me ID these coral and Rock plz

Hey guys,

These came with the used tank that I bought. Can you guys please ID them for me?

PIC 1 are BTA (or LTA) bubble (or long) tenticled anemones
PIC 2 is not sure, hard or soft? could be pavona, could be sponge. Also visable are protopalazoas and mushroom corals.
PIC 3 is a branching hammer

And that is alot of coraline algae on the rocks, looks good.

Thanks guys. So there is no way u guys can ID the rock? The reason I ask is, I have about 4 - 5 big rocks, similar to what I have shown in pics, that come with the tank. It has a lot of mushroom growing on them, I hate them

. And I can't aquascape with those big rocks. I was thinking about selling them on craigslist for 3 - 4 per lb and get a new dry rock.

Should I keep the rock or sell it? If I were to keep it, how can i kill/remove all of those mushroom? Does the rock looks like its needed to be cleaned? Do you guys think, i can brake those rock apart?

Rock looks good, would love to have the one in the second picture...

Yes I am one of the weirdos that likes mushrooms and palys....lol

So I am betting you dont live anywhere near me (Burlington NC), so I could have those mushrooms and the palys in the back..

If you try to cut them up dont forget to wear rubber glove and some kind of eye protection, one of those rocks has some palys on it..

Hey James,

I meant rock as in live rock that corals are growing on to. Is there another meaning beside that :O?

There are some other names, tonga, fuji, and some others,,they are from different locations, have different "looks"..
Mix and match, or choose a certain type for looks/shapes

I would keep the rock and hit the shrooms with hot water taking care to protect the AWESOME coralline. break the rock up and use it!

What about this one? Is this mushroom too? I have a lot of these, I want to get rid off them too.

ya looks like mushroom. why don't you frag them and sell them to your lfs for store credits or something instead of killing them.

How long have you had the tank? You may want to run the tank for a while with just those harty corals to make sure your keeping a healthy system..

At least that hammer coral being sucked in like that may indicate not being happy(or just turned lights on?). Those are all easy corals to care for so you may want to trial run your tank a while with em before spending alot of $$. Also don't be too hasty nothing good happens fast in this hobby.

Take lots of time to research first

Hey ultra, they r in Temporary tank. It only have been up and running for two weeks. Water is from old tank and I do 5% water change every others day. They will probably in there for about another month or so until main tank is ready.

Does hammer like high flow? I think they r not happy because they r in QT tank. I also think that having anemones next to is possible issue too.

Hammer doesn't like high flow. Bubble tip anemone can sting corals but less compare to other anemones. I have some bubble tip anemone from Chaung Thar beach at Myanmar and they have less sting compare to Long tentacle anemone.

I moved them to a new location

. they were not happy when they were next to anemone.
