ORP Probes
Although I have generally thought of ORP as sort of useless, I figured wth since I had a port on my Apex. So, last year got a probe and hooked it up. It took a long time to come up to what I thought to be a good measure (350 plus; two weeks). I recently had it plunge down below 200, for reasons unclear other than a dirty probe. Cleaned the probe and back to 300 ish, but again it is a crawl back up to level.
Is this normal for ORP - that it takes long time for the measurement to 'settle'? And if so, should I expect it after a cleaning as well?

I usually give my probe about 24 hours to adjust.
But once it's been in the sump for a week or so it starts getting dirty and the number slowly starts to climb. Then I clean it and it drops way down and then levels out over the next 8-24 hours. Repeat.

I have always seen ORP probes take longer to settle in than other probes. I have no idea why though.
