My 40 build, stand and all

Hello, I'm about a year and a half into the hobby, started with a simple 30g breeder w hang on the back skimmer and wanted more. So I bought a 40 (don't want to go big until my wife and I build our house, basically don't want to move it all) so we could have a larger sand bed and a little more room overall, 20g for sump, reef octopus skimmer, and an ATO setup. I decided to build my own stand so I figured I'd share. Still feel my sump definitely needs work, but learning with this hobby as I go. My stand is made of wood, and the work area up top is travertine, and a travertine and glass backsplash.

This is a nice setup. I haven't seen any before with that much space around the tank. I like the tiling and the wood stand.

Very cool build. Very unique the way you did the stand and
canopy oversize. Gives you lots of room. I like it!

thanks ! when i started planning for this stand i knew i definitely q=wanted a work area for my tank and i went a little crazy but I'm happy with the way it turned out, easy to clean, easy to work on. i hate to admit this but i can't remember what brand the LEDs are, i got them from my LFS and he highly recommended thematic, and they've worked exceptionally well so far.

Great work on the stand! I was thinking about doing something similar as I am in the planning process for a 40b reef myself. Is that bucket in your stand for an ATO? If so how will you be setting it up? Following along.

Dedicated sections for skimmer/rock/return pump separated by baffles.
