Question Regarding Hydroid's
Hello all.
Tank is 3 weeks old. 0 Ammonia, Nitrite, phosphate, and < .25 Nitrate. Everything is going well lots of life all over the tank. Saw these awhile ago in a few spots, but at first they looked to me like little starfish. Now they have grown and multiplied. Question: Are they hydroid's like I suspect? If so whats next? I've read everything from tear the tank down sterilize the live rock and start over to its part of a new tank cycle and they will go away. So far I have added a few blue legged crabs and a few snails a week ago, and a peppermint shrimp yesterday. Also I included a close up picture I attempted to take with a microscope.... Hard to do with a phone |

Leave them alone, they're harmless- it's the colonial type that can cause problems.
