Fellow refers I was unable to find a thread for ID specimens , I got this at the LFS and I was told it is a "blue photosynthetic "I was unable to find anything that looks like it , the thing is it started purple when I got it then got bluish now is slowly fading to what it seems white,it is growing fast though!! current placement is top of tank under LED ocean revive unit, and strong flow. Parameters are under normal range any ideas what tipe of sponge (coral) it is to give it proper care.

I Googled them and I think you're right. Very cool sponge, but look like they could take over.

I'm Assuming it will get flat as it grows. Unable to find much about care .All I found is that us like a pest.

It grows similar to Monti caps... scrolling. People call it a pest, because it's hardy and grows fast. I have some as well as a friend. No issues with it taking over.... he's got a 600g though, so he's got plenty of room if it does lol

Cool , mine it started turning white not sure if is bleaching , but I lowered it. See what happens
