Trying to decide which ATO to purchase
Hi - I'm looking at these units:
Tunze osmolator Spectra pure Avast ATO Does anyone have any advice? I've read a few threads and seems like the tunze is as reliable as it gets. Also, seems the spectra pure is the most accurate for keeping salinity rock solid/stable. Does anyone with experience with these units want to help a brother out? Thanks for the help |

Tunze seems to be the most popular.
I have a spectrapure, and you can't beat it. My ato is in basement an it easily pumps upstairs through 30 foot of hose. Another reason I went for it is when I start dosing kalk. Kalk water is hard on pumps. With a peristaltic pump you don't need to worry about it. |

Yes it has fail safes, and is very accurate.
It is basically a dosing pump, which are designed to be slow and accurate. |

The Avast by far. It runs off the same concept as the Spectrapure with the pressure switch but the big difference is that the avast is held in place by a strong magnet, and not suction cups like the Spectrapure. Also...you can configure the Avast ATO with a optional float switch as a backup.
I heard great things about the Tunze.... But I like the idea of the pressure swith better.

I have used the Tunze for the last 8 years without a hitch in three systems. I would use the Tunze again bed on my experience.
I have not tried the other two.

I use the Avast digital version. It is connected to my RKE system and has been flawless and worry free for quite some time. I really like the setup especially the magnet mount.
