Tunicates good or bad?

I bought some new live rock not realising it came with a couple of tunicates. 2 grey and 1 red. Are this guys good or bad?

The other day I noticed a puff of 'smoke' coming from the live rock when I turned about and went in for a closer look noticed the tunicates. Only explanation i have are the tunicates releasing something.

Tunicates are harmless filter feeders.

Which, because they are filter feeders, are difficult to maintain long term unless you specifically work to keep them.

Just leave them alone. If conditions are not favorable they'll just wither away & die over time.
