Do I need pods?

Ok, I need some help on this subject. I have a 66gal fowlr that I started with dry rock. So I did not get any type of hitchhikers (good or bad) to begin with. My tank has been up for 4 months now, it cycled, and is running beautifully, processing waste like a champ. Zeroes on every test. Very low bioload right now, just pair of clowns and a cuc, but going slow on purpose.

All I read about is copepods, amphipods, pods, pods, pods. Do I need them? I'm not considering anything like a mandarin that requires them. So, am I fine without them? I don't have a fuge to grow them, so my only option would be to just dump some bottles of pods into the tank. But from what I've read, they won't have adequate places to breed in my tank, unless I made a pile of rock rubble or something like that.

Everyone seems to have pods. I just want to know if I need to have pods. And if I do (or should) then what is my best course of action to do so.

Thanks!

The reason for "everyone seems to have pods" is you can't not having them. As soon as you'll get coral frag you'll get it. Some people need bigger then normal population of pods in their tanks to support fish eating pods. So you don't have to do anything special in this direction.

My plan for this tank is fowlr. So no coral frags on the horizon.

Live Rock/Sand.........chaeto......

Probably hitchhikes with fish as well. More than likely you'll still end up with them.

They come in from many sources. LR, macros, frags, etc. If you don't have a need for them(as a food source for a picky eater) then no worries. I think in a FOWLR the only role they would play is as some light "clean up" and as fish treats. To my knowledge, nessesery no, harmful no.
Don't worry about adding bottled pods unless you are shooting for diversity within your micro fauna. Or just want to grow their numbers quickly.
