It's a harmless Asterina Starfish. They do sometimes multiply to a point where there are a lot of them, but then their populations drops back from a lack of food.

Another vote here for harmless. At least I've never had one bother a thing.

I use to think harmless. I had some on my stylophoras munching away.

I had them in my tank as long as there is food they are harmless. However, I don't trust them. I took them out manually took me awhile.

From my understanding there are a few breeds or asternia stars and one is a coral eater keep an eye on your corals, if you just see it on your glass and rock, then harmless cleaner
