Powerhead Question

I am setting up a 210 gallon reef tank. The tank measures 84" x 24" x 24". I have two Hydor Koralia 2250 Magnum powerheads and Hydro Koralia 1400 powerhead. I was wondering what would be the best way to position the powerheads??

I was thinking of putting a 2250 on each end of the tank and pointing them at one another so they will create turbulance in the middle. I am not sure what to do with the 1400 powerhead though.

Or should I put the 2250 powerhead on the back of the tank and point toward the front glass so it will disperse?

Please provide your experience and reasoning.

Try the Magnums on the two sides pointing at each other, with the 1400 on the back pointing forward.

I think an important question to figure out which power head is; "What is the live stock you hope on keeping?"

If your plan on having substrate do not point them at the front glass you will have two balled spot where the sand is pushed away. Try and point them at each other first. Make sure to run it for 3-4 days before adjusting. It some time takes day for the substrate to migrate.

Bare bottom you can go crazy with flow. But you won't be able to have wrasses or sand sifters. If your going SPS this is nice.

Personal opinion if you go heavy LPS. I LOVE my wave box it really adds a nice affect to all the LPS. I'll post video tonight if I can (SPS/LPS tank)

If you have FOWLR I don't think it will make much difference. So basically anything that will help the food move around and not mess up the sand.
