ellagance coral problem

Hi I'm new to reef central and have been running a Aqua One Reef 400 Ltr tank for just over one year. I have a elegance coral which I have had for 11 months, it has just separated from its base can anyone tell me what's going on and if there's anything I can do to save it. I've tried super glue and that has not worked. Thanks

What's your magnesium level?

Yes...polyp bailout. Guarantee your magnesium levels are very low.

Magnesium is one of the most overlooked parameters by most reefers, and arguably one of the more important ones.

I would be willing to say it is more likely Mag than Iodine. In my experience, a Mg of around 1200-1300 is about the magic number for Elegance, and I try to stay around 1280-1300 because that is what I have seen that occurs in most natural reefs.
