Bubble Tip Anemone!
My new green bubble tip anemone has stayed on the same rock that he came with, however he keeps moving every night to an new spot on the rock. Every time he wedges between the bottom of the rock and the sand in a weird position. I keep turning the rock to where the anemone is on the top side or side of rock instead of looking squished between the rock and the sand....
anyone know why it keeps going to the weird location instead of staying in the clear sitting on the rock? its is bugging me. |

Leave it alone. Constantly changing the rock is just going to stress it out. If it got itself wedged down there, it can unwedge itself. Leave it be, and it'll eventually settle in.

Anemones will travel as they please for sometimes unknown reasons. As long as the parameters, flow, and lighting are in check, it will settle eventually.

x2 leave it alone. the worst thing you can do is keep moving it. anemones are all different. some like to sit on their ***. others like to go walk-a-bout, esp when they are small

Yep, this.
It's part of the undertaking of a 'nem. You hope it doesn't wedge it self somewhere that you don't want it.....but that's all you can do.

My LED's are way brighter than yours, and mine did fine. Then again, I knew he was used to low light, so I started it where it would be half shaded by a ledge. I figured this would allow it to acclimate to the light at its leisure. It might not be a bad idea to turn down the intensity for a bit until it acclimates.
