Frogspawn
Are Frogspawn corals easy to keep? I am new, tank is about 3.5 months old and running. Is this a good coral for me ?

Yup, pretty easy. Medium light, medium indirect flow, and make sure you don't have anything in your tank that will nip at the flesh (angelfish, etc.).

That light is fine. You don't need to have it all the way at the top like you would need for SPS. I have mine mounted to a rock about 3-4" off the sand bed, but I have a shallow tank so that would be considered medium light in my tank.

Same, I have a 21gallon all in one, my frogspawn is about 1/3 of the way up the tank in the middle, so about 4 inches off the sand bed and 12" from the surface. it has moderate flow, just somewhat sways in the water, it's not violently moving around. my LED's hit about 55% during the day for about 3 hours. nice vibrant green with purple tips at night. very happy FS.

cool cool!
my LED does not allow me to adjust lighting. I turn it on and it stays on for 8hrs a day sometimes a little longer...would that be ok? |

Hey Bearkat, you wouldn't happen to go to binghamton university would you? Just curious since that's what our mascot is.

Ah nice. But yeah frogspawn and all the other euphyllia are among the easiest corals to keep in my experience. As long as you don't shock it with too much light initially you can pretty much move it to wherever you want.

Just understand Euphyllia corals are very aggressive and they can easily kill any nearby coral.
