Sump help/?

I starting running my DT and after hooking up the plumbing, shutting off after an hour, and turning back on I noticed that while the water flow is good it never goes back down to gently rolling over my second baffle, instead it's submerged by about an inch to an inch and a half of water.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Too much water? Take some out until the water level is where it's supposed to be.

Got any pics?

Couldn't get any decent tonight. I'll take some tomorrow and will take out a couple gallons, as it is above the mark on the sump when turned off, but still has about 4-5 inches to spare. I was thinking maybe a little to much water.

Well, if the flow is good and your tank and everything looks right, but you have too high a water level over the baffles in your sump...it just has too much water. Once you have the flow set right with the right amount of water, then set your ATO up to keep it that way.

Today I got this fixed. Emptied sump into containers and transferred rock this way and the water displacement fixed the issue. Thanks for the input and help
