Question Is it worth cooling retro T5's that are supplementing LED's?

I added 2 80w T5's to supplement my leds and plan to run them about 4 hours a day or so. Is it worth trying to cool the two bulbs somehow to extend life? If I did what's the best way to cool them?

With cooling they would be a little brighter and last longer but I wouldn't worry about it.

If I did cool it, do I just use one fan per bulb under the label or what?

I got an old junk pc that I can pull some fans out of and I already have a box full of phone chargers that would power the fans...

I have been contemplating this as well. Was think of trying something like this so it would go down the length of the bulb. I haven't even got my t5s yet, just throwing it out there..

That is a cool fan, I have heard that T-5's without fans last 6 months and 12 months with fans, also that the labels need to be on the same side not sure why but? I guess the big question is what temp is best? My exhaust temp on my Maristar II with 4 t-5 54 watt is 85 degrees with active cooling.

95 degrees is optimum per Giesemann "study". I measured my 2 39w LET an I get 95-100 degrees at the bulb label and 130ish in the center of the tube. Tagging along aswell for a future 6 54w retro build.
